Por esperar demasiado y mirar las estrellas pasar ante tus ojos perdiste un instante que hubieras querido recordar después.

La lluvia me hace caminar más lentamente por las calles resbaladizas de Lima esta noche. Sólo quería llegar a casa a retozar en mi sillón, leer un poco el periódico y esperar tu llamada. No llegaría hasta medianoche. Me dices que no te sientes bien otra vez, como si fuera gran novedad, yo intento hacerte reír, te cuento historias del pasado contigo, momentos felices que pasamos y nos hizo sentir ese gran vacío que se siente en el estómago y que a veces lo relacionamos con el amor. Nos despedimos con un beso, como siempre y me quieres demasiado cuando te digo que adoro ese acento tan gracioso a mi oído.

No decimos más por unos segundos, siento que estás sonriendo del otro lado de la línea, pero a cada segundo se esparce tu sonrisa en la distancia, se diluye entre los meridianos que tanto odio.
